In Reverse Dutch Weave Wire Mesh, thin warp wires are positioned close to each other, and the thicker weft wire is woven in at a defined distance. The resulting higher strength in the warp direction makes it popular for use as a filter belt.

Compared with the normal plain Dutch weave mesh, the coarser wire in the weft direction and the finer wire in the warp direction, this weave can supply a better filtration rate.
